Bakersfield Beer Company
Biography & Highlights
You can hear the bass rattling the corrugated metal before you even reach the side entrance on Schirra Court. Bakersfield Beer Company isn't your average south city taproom once you step past the garage doors. It’s a cavernous industrial space where the brewing tanks sit right behind the plywood stage, and the concrete floors bounce every kick drum straight into your chest.
Crowds here are a mix of blue-collar locals in dust-covered work boots and punk kids nursing IPAs. Sound bounces around the rafters like crazy, so don't expect pristine acoustic mixing. You're getting raw guitar feedback bouncing off stainless steel vats. The bartenders are moving fast, pouring house brews while people crowd the narrow gaps between picnic tables.
Parking out front is a breeze since you're tucked away in an industrial park off the main drag. Grab a hazy IPA, find a spot near the speakers, and try not to spill when the mosh pit spills past the merch table.
